Guest Speaker IDC Research VP Robert Palmer to share insights from the upcoming new research on the forces reshaping enterprise print during September 16 webinar
WEST HENRIETTA, N.Y., United States, September 15, 2026 -- Pharos Systems International ("Pharos"), a leader in enterprise print management, today announced an upcoming webinar, “Navigating the New Era of Enterprise Print Management,” taking place September 16, 2026, at 2 p.m. ET.
The webinar will feature guest speaker Robert Palmer, Research Vice President with IDC’s Imaging, Printing and Document Solutions Group, and Kevin Pickhardt, Executive Chairman of Pharos. Palmer will share insights from IDC’s latest research on Worldwide Print Management, and explore the trends changing how enterprises approach print infrastructure and operations.

As organizations modernize IT infrastructure, strengthen security, and adopt cloud-first strategies, print is increasingly becoming part of the broader IT transformation conversation. During the webinar, Palmer and Pickhardt will examine how priorities around cloud adoption, security, operational efficiency, AI, and automation are influencing the future of enterprise print management.
“Enterprise IT is at an important inflection point, and print can no longer be treated as an isolated or purely tactical function,” said Pickhardt. “Organizations are modernizing infrastructure, strengthening Zero Trust strategies, and preparing for changes such as Windows Protected Print, all while being asked to operate more efficiently. IDC’s latest research provides timely insight into how these forces are converging and what IT leaders should be considering now as they plan the future of their print environments.”
IDC research featured in the webinar highlights the growing connection between enterprise IT strategy and print. According to IDC, 89% of organizations1 say print remains important or very important to their organization, even as legacy print infrastructure creates performance and security gaps. IDC research also found that 40% of organizations 2 are already beginning cloud-based print adoption, while another 30% indicate they are likely to do so within the next 12 months.
“By moving to a cloud-based model for print and print management, businesses can gain financial flexibility, reduce the burden of owning and managing assets, and achieve a sleeker approach for print that is built on a range of cloud-hosted services,” said Palmer.
