World Encephalitis Day 2020 Encephalitis Conference

Encephalitis Global has been proud to offer an annual Encephalitis Conference welcoming survivors and caregivers to spend the weekend in a venue where everyone understood the life-altering impact of encephalitis. As information and resources grow, it's time for that Conference to grow as well.

DALLAS - Jan. 27, 2020 - PRLog -- Many organizations which focus on encephalitis and autoimmune encephalitis strive to raise awareness.   Six of these organizations will form a collective to make history and organize the first World Encephalitis Day 2020 Encephalitis Conference.  This Conference is brought to you with pride by Autoimmune Encephalitis Alliance, The Anti-NMDA Receptor Encephalitis Foundation, Encephalitis 411, the Encephalitis Society, HESA and Encephalitis Global.

The World Encephalitis Day 2020 Encephalitis Conference content will focus on recognizing three equally important topics, namely infectious encephalitis, autoimmune encephalitis and World Encephalitis Day.  It will offer inspirational stories and interaction from survivors and caregivers as well as presentations from medical professionals, teachers and specialists who will speak on issues associated with encephalitis and autoimmune encephalitis.  On the Saturday night the Conference will focus on recognition of  World Encephalitis Day - a campaign launched from the United Kingdom in 2014 by the Encephalitis Society.  This year on February 22nd, Conference attendees will stand loud and proud to share a very special  World Encephalitis Day 2020 Encephalitis Conference celebration.

To date, the World Encephalitis Day 2020 Encephalitis Conference organizers have welcomed attendee registrations from Australia, Canada, Uganda, United Kingdom and the United States.    We hope that each of them will share and learn more about the impact of encephalitis and autoimmune encephalitis, then take this new knowledge home to share with others.

Organizers highly recommend people click World Encephalitis Day 2020 Encephalitis Conference to register for the Conference AND book your hotel room at our special discounted price before January 31st to receive all options and features.    Join us for history in the making!

Oturu scores 30 as Minnesota beats No. 19 Michigan 75-67

Feb 26, 2020

MINNEAPOLIS — Daniel Oturu shook off an injury and had a career game to help Minnesota take down another ranked opponent. Oturu scored a career-high 30 points and the Gophers went on a late 11-0 run to beat No. 19 Michigan 75-67 on Sunday. The sophomore center had 20 points in a dominant first half, and he continued his roll with six quick points after the break. But with 14:35 remaining, he hit the deck hard while fighting for a rebound. He stayed on the floor for nearly five minutes, clutching his left shoulder as a hush fell over the...

Bey scores 33, leads No. 16 Villanova past Georgetown 80-66

Feb 26, 2020

PHILADELPHIA — Saddiq Bey hit eight 3-pointers and scored a career-high 33 points to lead No. 16 Villanova to an 80-66 win over Georgetown on Saturday. Bey, a 6-foot-8 sophomore forward, hadn't been much of a 3-pointer shooter this season for the Wildcats (12-3, 3-1 Big East). He'd made only 21 and four of those came in a nonconference game against Ohio. He shot just 3-for-10 overall in a win this week at Creighton, hardly a sign he was about to bust out with a career game against the Hoyas (11-6, 1-3). Left open, and determined to shoot, Bey had...

Former UConn coach Jim Calhoun earns 900th career win

Feb 26, 2020

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — Jim Calhoun’s 900th win looked like so many others during a Hall of Fame coaching career. He stomped. He screamed. He slammed objects. The only real difference is the sideline he now controls. The longtime Connecticut coach added another milestone Friday night when the University of Saint Joseph beat Pratt Institute 105-61. Now in his second season coaching in Division III, Calhoun joined Mike Krzyzewski, Jim Boeheim and Bob Knight — all former rivals and national champions at college basketball’s highest level — as the only coaches to coach at least 10 seasons in Division I...

BOSTON — David Pastrnak had a hat trick to extend his point streak to 12 games and Jake DeBrusk added two goals, including the go-ahead score in the third period, to help the Boston Bruins hold off the Winnipeg Jets 5-4 on Thursday night. It was Pastrnak's third hat trick this season and eighth of his career. He has nine goals and 10 assists during his current point streak, and his 35 goals overall lead the NHL. Kyle Connor, Andrew Copp, Neal Pionk and Mark Scheifele had goals for the Jets. Nikolaj Ehlers added a pair of assists. Jets goaltender...

Cowboys to introduce McCarthy as club's 9th coach Wednesday

Feb 26, 2020

FRISCO, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys will introduce Mike McCarthy as the ninth coach in franchise history Wednesday. The club made the announcement Tuesday, a day after McCarthy reached agreement on a deal to replace Jason Garrett. It's the second coaching stop for the 56-year-old McCarthy, who won a Super Bowl and went to the playoffs nine times in 12-plus seasons with Green Bay. The Packers won the title at the home of the Cowboys nine years ago. They went to the NFC championship game four times under McCarthy, who is 125-77-2 in the regular season and 10-8 in the...
