Stone Mountain, United States - January 27, 2020 /PressCable/ —

TSI Solutions and SherTek have announced the joining of their business operations to offer a stronger, more robust industrial automation solutions distribution partner to Georgia’s manufacturing and machine builder market. TSI Solutions acquired SherTek’s assets, employees, and customer contracts. The new business will operate under the TSI Solutions brand.

SherTek, founded in 2011, provides engineered control and electrical solutions to Georgia’s manufacturing, municipal, and OEM markets. The staff of SherTek has many years of successful service and experience in these areas. It adds value by applying and implementing technical products and solutions, while aiming to develop long-term relationships and win-win outcomes for their customers.

“SherTek offers an exciting opportunity for TSI to strengthen its coverage of the Georgia market, while gaining highly technical and responsive inside and outside sales representation, increased breadth of inventory, and deeper market penetration through long-lasting customer partnerships,” explains John Post Jr, President of TSI Solutions. Post added, “With TSI and SherTek already representing several of the same major product lines, it just makes sense to join efforts to serve a wider customer base.” The acquisition of SherTek supports the TSI Solutions strategy of being the supplier of choice for the Georgia automation market by offering best-in-class products with world-class service from a single source.

Scot Sherwin, founder and President of SherTek, commented, “TSI’s acquisition of SherTek provides a major growth opportunity for our customers; by expanding our product offering and adding engineering support, e-commerce capabilities, and value-added assembly services. As our customers look to streamline their supply chain and select their technical partners, our partnership will provide the coverage, service, and support that they require. I’m looking forward to continuing to support my customers and to bringing them these added products and services for many years to come.”

TSI Solutions has been helping Georgia manufacturers and machine builders optimize the performance of their equipment since its founding in 1978. TSI Solutions accomplishes this by offering the highest quality industrial automation components and systems, backed by responsive service and support. It is the goal of TSI Solutions to increase its customers’ competitiveness in a global economy by helping them optimize the performance of their machinery and equipment.

Oturu scores 30 as Minnesota beats No. 19 Michigan 75-67

Feb 26, 2020

MINNEAPOLIS — Daniel Oturu shook off an injury and had a career game to help Minnesota take down another ranked opponent. Oturu scored a career-high 30 points and the Gophers went on a late 11-0 run to beat No. 19 Michigan 75-67 on Sunday. The sophomore center had 20 points in a dominant first half, and he continued his roll with six quick points after the break. But with 14:35 remaining, he hit the deck hard while fighting for a rebound. He stayed on the floor for nearly five minutes, clutching his left shoulder as a hush fell over the...

Bey scores 33, leads No. 16 Villanova past Georgetown 80-66

Feb 26, 2020

PHILADELPHIA — Saddiq Bey hit eight 3-pointers and scored a career-high 33 points to lead No. 16 Villanova to an 80-66 win over Georgetown on Saturday. Bey, a 6-foot-8 sophomore forward, hadn't been much of a 3-pointer shooter this season for the Wildcats (12-3, 3-1 Big East). He'd made only 21 and four of those came in a nonconference game against Ohio. He shot just 3-for-10 overall in a win this week at Creighton, hardly a sign he was about to bust out with a career game against the Hoyas (11-6, 1-3). Left open, and determined to shoot, Bey had...

Former UConn coach Jim Calhoun earns 900th career win

Feb 26, 2020

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — Jim Calhoun’s 900th win looked like so many others during a Hall of Fame coaching career. He stomped. He screamed. He slammed objects. The only real difference is the sideline he now controls. The longtime Connecticut coach added another milestone Friday night when the University of Saint Joseph beat Pratt Institute 105-61. Now in his second season coaching in Division III, Calhoun joined Mike Krzyzewski, Jim Boeheim and Bob Knight — all former rivals and national champions at college basketball’s highest level — as the only coaches to coach at least 10 seasons in Division I...

Pastrnak hat trick helps Bruins hold off Jets 5-4

Feb 26, 2020

BOSTON — David Pastrnak had a hat trick to extend his point streak to 12 games and Jake DeBrusk added two goals, including the go-ahead score in the third period, to help the Boston Bruins hold off the Winnipeg Jets 5-4 on Thursday night. It was Pastrnak's third hat trick this season and eighth of his career. He has nine goals and 10 assists during his current point streak, and his 35 goals overall lead the NHL. Kyle Connor, Andrew Copp, Neal Pionk and Mark Scheifele had goals for the Jets. Nikolaj Ehlers added a pair of assists. Jets goaltender...

Cowboys to introduce McCarthy as club's 9th coach Wednesday

Feb 26, 2020

FRISCO, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys will introduce Mike McCarthy as the ninth coach in franchise history Wednesday. The club made the announcement Tuesday, a day after McCarthy reached agreement on a deal to replace Jason Garrett. It's the second coaching stop for the 56-year-old McCarthy, who won a Super Bowl and went to the playoffs nine times in 12-plus seasons with Green Bay. The Packers won the title at the home of the Cowboys nine years ago. They went to the NFC championship game four times under McCarthy, who is 125-77-2 in the regular season and 10-8 in the...
